A.J. Benoit is back again with his musical troupe to present another show of Remembrance! This “all new”show is called “Silver Wings” A Music Tribute to Our Veterans and to the men and women currently serving in our Canadian Armed Forces. Featuring A.J Benoit, Trish Reilly, and Christina Madden with Lee Anne Frederickson, Ainsleey Worden and Niki Houldcroft performing as the “Andrew Sisters”. Music accompaniment by the Mary Ross-Comstock Trio. Along with Mary on piano is bassist Paul Gardiner from the Fabulous Belairs and well-known percussionist James Mackenzie. The show features some of the WWII Vera Lynn classics like “The White Cliffs of Dover”, “We’ll Meet Again” “The Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square” and iconic Andrew Sister songs such as “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B” and “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree”. Plus many other songs never performed before by this musical troupe! All of the proceeds from this show are being donated to the “F-86 Sabre Jet Memorial Restoration Project” that was started 50 years ago and was never completed. The F-86 Sabre Jet that stands proudly at Block House Island is a monument dedicated to the people that served in the RCAF and lost their lives fighting for our freedom. So come on out and sing along to the wonderful songs that won the war and pay tribute to our Veterans and to those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces!
